Psalm 110:1-7

Sit at My Right Hand
A Psalm of David.

110 The Lord says to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies your footstool.”

The Lord sends forth from Zion
    your mighty scepter.
    Rule in the midst of your enemies!
Your people will offer themselves freely
    on the day of your power,
    in holy garments;
from the womb of the morning,
    the dew of your youth will be yours.
The Lord has sworn
    and will not change his mind,
“You are a priest forever
    after the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord is at your right hand;
    he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
He will execute judgment among the nations,
    filling them with corpses;
he will shatter chiefs
    over the wide earth.
He will drink from the brook by the way;
    therefore he will lift up his head.

  1. Beware, all nations, the Lord is watching from on high. He will execute judgement one day. Get right with the Lord . Amen.

    1. You need to be right with the Lord before he returns to us. Amen and Praise to the Lord most High.✝🙏🏻✝🙏🏻💜💜

  2. Oh Amen. My Lord has been drinking from the brook and now has lifted His head. He is watching nations. Zion your Lord is coming. Let’s get ready!

  3. Verse 1 is the most quoted psalm in the New Testament. Jesus quoted this in New Testament to say He is Son of God.

  4. The Lord loves us so much. He has created all space and time for us to seek Him and return to Him. But for those who choose rebellion, the magnitude of His wrath is alluded to here.

    Seek Him…He is already with you/me. Love requires both sides making a choice. He has made His choice. We have to make ours.

  5. Here God the Father is speaking to God His risen Son, now seated and enthroned at the right hand of the Majesty on High! The Lord Jesus has conquered sin and death . He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, coming back one day to establish His Kingdom on earth . And the Father speaks and says Jesus is now Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Jesus is our King -Priest , ruling and interceding for us. He has opened up heaven to us by His perfect once for all sacrifice- and now we can draw dear with confidence, right to the throne of God, where we have our merciful and faithful High Priest waiting with open arms to give us mercy and grace in time of need.

  6. I remember a popular T shirt – on the front it quoted a Bible verse – “Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord” and then on the back it showed Satan in chains with the words “ and that means you too Satan. That was powerful message then and now!

  7. When the Lord is at your right hand you should fear nothing. Our enemy is satan and everyone who does not believe in and follow the Lord Jesus. The Lord will make our enemy our footstool and that is an eternal promise. Still, while the Lord will give us the victory He also “wishes that no one should perish but all should come to repentance”. This also reminds me that those who may side with the enemy today either knowingly or unknowingly, can also have the Lord at their right hand if they only confess their sins and believe in Him for salvation. Then they can join me, you and all who know Jesus Christ in the victory!

  8. The day of judgement is surely coming! The enemies of Christ who once ruled as head, now will be under His feet. God’s people will join Him on the day of judgement. We then, will see that sin does not go unpunished. Kings and Presidents come and go, but Christ is forever!
    Praise the Lord!

  9. Oh dear Father…as we go out this Sunday night and deliver the “good news”, may the eyes of the lost be opened and their hearts turned to our High Priest… Time is running out Father… Send us workers so that every lost soul hears about Your grace before Judgment is executed.

    Amen

  10. This statement was fulfilled in JESUS in the N.T. ; Matt.22: 41-46, Acts 2: 34-36, 1 Cor. 15: 25, Eph. 1:20, Heb. 1:13, but 1st recorded in Gen. 3:15. Psalm 110:1-11 is a conversation that David heard the FATHER saying to HIS SON. (That must have been kinda scary) or how else would he have known. Never-the -lest it’s a Royal Psalm & our LORD & SAVIOR is a Priest forever & I honor HIM.
    Many, many Blessings, & thank YOUS always.

  11. Great is the time when our Lord comes to gather his church and restore His kingdom

  12. Because of His love for us and His great sacrifice for us, we can ask Him to come into our lives and see that our sins have been erased.
    The offer is open to everyone!
    Righteous judgment is waiting those who don’t listen or those who refuse to accept it.
    How sad and how scary for them!

  13. What hope this gives my heart.

    We not only have a High Priest who can intercede for us, but he is King of Heaven & of Earth. He does not stand & pace before God constantly making offerings as required of the Levitical priests. No – just the opposite. He is beckoned to SIT(!) in the presence of The Almighty. The Almighty causes all things, including our King’s enemies, to be put into their rightful place below Him.

    And to that, my heart shouts AMEN.

  14. After reading this Psalm, I am reminded once again that the most important job we have on this earth is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

    Lord, help us to have ready on our tongue the words to draw others close to You. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
