The Birth of Jesus Christ

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. 20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
    and they shall call his name Immanuel”

(which means, God with us). 24 When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, 25 but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

  5. Thank you for the HolySpirit that prompted Joseph to be wise. Thank you lord for another day of life. Thank you Jesus for being my savior and friend. God has a plan for my healing and hope.

    Thank you God Almighty for the miracle of the virgin birth which is overlooked and disputed by many.
    Lord open their eyes and help us to live for you so we can show them your way.

  10. Thank you Lord that your ways are not our ways. Your plan of salvation is perfect for our lives and you use whom you choose. Thank you for covering our shame and allowing us to participate in your plan of salvation.

  11. Thank You LORD for the “GIFT” that continues to give. We all need to be infused with HIS spiritual life.I believe I heard Tony Evans say that when you choose JESUS, you’re born twice & die once; but w/out JESUS, you’re born once & die twice. How great is the love the FATHER has lavished on us that we should be called the children of GOD; (1 John 3:1) Thank GOD that HE sent HIS SON “Immanuel” “SAVIOR,” “DELIVERER.” Praise GOD, HIS love endures forever. Amen…
