John 1:1-18
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.
9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I am thankful that you became flesh and came into the world to tell us and show us all about your glory and heaven where we can all live with you forever. Through your time on earth, your prophets and disciples and by the spreading of your word , you have become known throughout the world. Though many did not believe and receive you at that time , generations have come to know you now. It is up to us, your faithful followers ,to continue to spread the word…that “Jesus Saves , Jesus Saves.”Please steer us in the right direction to do your will. In Jesus’name . Amen.
Thank you LORD for John who spoke so plainly about our Savior, Jesus. He came into the world to forgive us of our sins and give us eternal life. Praise the Lord for his plan to save the world. Like the woman at the well, we will be changed forever by the power and glory of Jesus.
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy true Christian church
of all times and all places*,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
Amen and amen.
Praise The Lord!!
John the Baptist paid the ultimate price for speaking of Him that comes to take away the sins of the world. May we be bold as well, so that His death and our Savior’s death be not in vain…Give me courage in these last days as he had courage in the first days!
Our society is turning from God and who know what we will face in the coming months.
This such a rich passage! As believers we have the indwelling life and light of Jesus Christ , and we have received His truth and grace. And not only that, we have seen His glory in Who He is through His saving work as He has made God the Father known to us. How blessed we are ! May I reflect Your life and light in all I do, Lord.
Lord Jesus thank you for coming down and taking on flesh. You didn’t have to for You were at the beginning of all things yet You came low to experience all things. You even cried with us. Thank you for taking on humanity and becoming the perfect man. The man without sin. And then to become our perfect sacrifice for our sin. You didn’t have to, but at the garden You accepted Father’s will. Oh what love You shown for us. That while we were yet sinners You died for us. Then to become the defeated of death. Oh what a glorious day that was when You came out of that grave for now death has no sting. You are our resurrection and our life. No one can come to the Father but through You Jesus. I bow down before You and say Praise the Lord. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank you for letting us see in the light in darkness! Let me be a light for You in the world and always bring You glory! AMEN ?
I believe these are the most beautiful and majestic words ever written.
