Matthew 7:1-29
Judging Others
7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.
Ask, and It Will Be Given
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
The Golden Rule
12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
A Tree and Its Fruit
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
Build Your House on the Rock
24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
The Authority of Jesus
28 And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, 29 for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.

If we live by these words we will have a wonderful life and when our time on earth is done, we will join our Father in Heaven. .
Amen. I need to work on not judging others.
Amen I do need to work on that. There are times I judge to much. You cannot judge a book by it’s cover. Lesson learned. Praise the Lord. Amen 🙏🏻✝🙏🏻✝💜💜
Yes these words are full of wisdom and great truths. They are spoken by our Christ, who is our great authority . Just as a father wants the best for his children , so does our Heavenly Father. Listen to His words and follow his commandments and our lives will be richer and fuller. And when we call out to Him when we reach our final home, we will hear Him say….”Well done my good and faithful servant. “
“Don’t throw your pearls to pigs”…discernment is needed in this walk with the Lord. Our God given wisdom and resources, must be stewarded well.
Ask, seek, knock…
God wants to bless each of us. When we follow Him. He rewards us as He wants the best for His children
I will hold your hand as I walk down the narrow path. I know you will pull me back when I chase butterflies or rubberneck along the way. Thank you for your steadfast loving-kindness Father.🥰❤🥰
JESUS’ words are practical, & common sense; things of value, & special should not be offered to those who are incapable of appreciating them. I was taught that there were three answers to prayer; yes, no & wait. If you haven’t heard yes, or no then wait. The Golden Rule is simply to love others. The wide road is seeking or doing to earn acceptance; the narrow gate is done because JESUS makes us acceptable. Just because someone acts holy & or righteous doesn’t mean that it’s so. If there is no good fruit, like love for others, a changed lifestyle, that’s questionable. Are you really a Christian or are you still thinking about it? (jus saying) GOD’s Words always make me stop & wonder; look deep into my own life so that I can get right back on track. I never want to quince the Holy Spirit ( of course I do) but not intentionly. Thank YOU LORD for YOUR Words.
I can only imagine how life will really be if we truly follow the ways God has directed. Yet noone is perfect we should strive to be perfect in Him through His teachings. This tells us every one is not our friends and should be treated as such in love.
Be blessed church

Judging Others
Judging Others
To be a judge we must be recognized as such and hold the esteemed position. If we have the same sinful nature as our brother, we are not qualified to judge. We do examine the unrighteous behavior of other believers, but we must be living a righteous life ourselves.
Some believers who have heard some portion of the gospel and reject other parts of it are described as dogs and pigs, vicious. We must be wise to recognize that they are unable to handle truth and righteousness.
Ask, and It Will Be Given
God being Spiritual, and mankind being carnal gives to their children the needs that are essential for the development and maintenance of life and it’s journey. God gives spiritual gifts to his children just for the asking and persistence. We give our children food, clothing, shelter and other necessary material things to support life. Being evil by nature as we are, give good gifts to our children. God being righteous and holy as he is, gives good gifts to his children.
The Golden Rule
God takes the guesswork on how to treat others. He makes it simple. If you want to be loved, love others. Don’t sit in the judgment seat. It will come back to bite you. God is the ultimate judge and we will be judged based on how we treat all people.
A Tree and Its Fruit
Since Jesus is the way, and fewer people follow Jesus than the masses of people who follow the way of the world, their own way, Satan wants them back. False teachers twist the truth and the scripture to fit their agenda. They disguise themselves, as being harmless and kind with good intentions, but are full of hate. False teachers are also fisher of men. They know just what bait to use to catch believers that are not rooted and grounded in God’s word. False teachers will do wonderful things in the name of Jesus, but they will be undressed and judge before God.
Build Your House on the Rock
It would be wise to build your life on Jesus and his word. They are the Rock, the Solid and Unmovable Foundation to eternal life. Faith in Christ enables believers to endure the suffering and hardships of life. It is not so with the unbeliever, the unwise one.
The Authority of Jesus
Jesus’s teachings were not someone’s opinion. It was not transcribed and agreed upon as to what others thought it means. Jesus is the Living Word. The crowd was amazed at Jesus teaching because it was about being wise and fruitful in relationship to Jesus, yourself and others.
Amen!
I Never Knew You
These are people who have the outward appearance that they are following Jesus, but teach and cast out demons in Jesus name for self-glory. God is not being glorified. They are called workers of iniquity because their motives are wrong. They have received their reward by not being righteous according to the will of God.
Do grateful to have learned songs in Sunday School that I can sing today with even more fervor than that many years ago….”The wise man built his house upon the rocks….”
And how very true are the words telling me to be aware of wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing! There are so many fitting that description today.
God will watch over me!
