Here in Psalm 19 we see some of the more famous words of the Psalms displayed: “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight.” We find hope for things such as: revival of the soul and wisdom (v.7), rejoicing and enlightenment (v.8), a clean heart and righteousness (v.9).
But as we read, we see those elements we desire in life as coming from the outflow of our loving the perfect law and testimony of the Lord! We have to understand the value of God’s commandments and precepts (v.8), and develop a holy and righteous fear of the Lord (v.9).
Hence, the author pleads with his master on the outset, to let His mouth and his heart be pleasing to the Lord!
Psalm 19
The Law of the Lord Is Perfect
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
2 Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
4 Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple;
8 the precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes;
9 the fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever;
the rules of the Lord are true,
and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,
even much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey
and drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can discern his errors?
Declare me innocent from hidden faults.
13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,
and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Prayer:
O God, Your name is holy. Your glory is displayed in everything I see around me.
Please teach me Your ways and help me look to the truths You have provided through Your word as I walk with You today.
Make clear to me the places I am most vulnerable to fail You, and give me strength to walk upright in the face of temptation.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight!

O glorious Father, I long to know You more completely and to more completely proclaim Your glory.
Keep your servant from presumptuous, willful sins; let them not have dominion over me.

Thank You Father for Your Glory and Power as testified in the heavens! I once saw a documentary which revealed that Your stars really do sing!! The scientist proved byshowing via scientific technology recorded evidence the sounds that are emitted from stars! I actually heard the musical sounds coming from God’s created stars! (The musical “songs” that were recorded sounded to me like the whale makes as also recorded by ocean scientists!) Please Lord show me my insignificance compared to Your Glory and Might revealed in Your creation! Thank You!

Lord, help me. Today I was pulled in every direction but not to Your Word.
Make clear to me the places I am most vulnerable to fail You, and give me strength to walk upright in the face of temptation, in Jesus’ name I pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
How rich is the silent voice of the heavens that declare your majesty!
Outside my window, in this early morning hour, I catch a glimpse of the light that is beginning to wake the night’s sky. I see You in the splendor of each morning sunrise and bless Your Holy name.
Your law is perfect. I want to desire it above all. Help me in my weakness and forgive me when I fail to follow after You with my whole heart. Revive my soul with Your truths as I meditate on them today.
In Jesus’s name. Amen.
Gracious heavenly Father, maker of the universe, who Am I that you look upon me this day. Your Son stands before you advocating on my behalf. I am nothing on my own. Place a burning desire within my heart to search for you throughout this day. You O Lord, are my rock and my redeemer. May all the words of my mouth and actions of my heart be pleasing and acceptable in your sight. Amen

The Lords handiwork is in everything we can see, touch and taste. I’m so thankful we have such a loving God that loves us so much.
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I awake each day, I hear the birds chirping and see the sun peeking through my window to present another glorious day that you have given to me. When I read your Word I am given all of the truths and promises that are rewarded to us if we just follow Your ways. Your name is glorious and above all names and is to be praised. Everything you say and do is perfect. Help me to honor you in a way that is pleasing Please cleanse my heart and mind of any impure thoughts and guide me in righteous paths. Thank you for loving me and giving me another day to show your love to others. Amen.
Lord God, I thank you for the workd that you created. Your glory is displayed for everyone and everything to see.
You set the sun and moon, day and night, seasons and times in motion! There are no words to describe how awesome and great You are!
Thank you for loving us enough to share Your wonders with us, for reviving our spirits and drawing us back to Your heart when we get weary and wander.
Lord, I pray that my words and thoughts will always bring You honor , and be acceptable to You.
Thank you for being my Rock and my Redeemer.

Lord praise you for the day and night that work as your speech and knowledge. Praise you for the searing bright sun that shines your love and wisdom on my path. My prayer is that my speech today brings you honor and reflects your greatness, hope, and power.

Oh Glorious God, thank you for your saving acts, for your glory reflected in Creation, and your law that sets me on a straight path.

The heavens indeed declare your glory, and your word even more so. May I treasure your revelation more than the sweetest pleasures of life, walking humbly with you day by day.
Father, I thank You for Your unfailing love. You are deserving of all praise at all times. I praise You today, not just for what You do, but for who You are as my faithful God. I lift my voice and my hands, and I praise Your great name. Amen.
Thank you Lord for your word that both warns and rewards me. It’s only by the transformational power of your spirit, that I have any hope of having a heart for you, that overflows into what I think and do, so that it pleases you.
Oh Lord, Let the words of my heart and meditation of my heart be pleasing to you today. May my life today be a reflection of you with my actions and words.
Remind me God to declare your glory today. Amen
My Heavenly Father,
I thank you for each morning that you bless me to draw nearer to You to see all your mighty works of Your creation and children.
O Lord, my soul will rest in You alone. Through prayer, You teach me to be wise in keeping my life simple and to not take You for granted. Forgive me in my weakness moments and forgive me when I allow self to take control at times before seeking You. Holy Spirit, please continue to teach me as You have written… V 14; Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Thank you for this beautiful morning. I am awaken early with Your sun shining bright, your birds are chirping melodiously , your squirrels are running freely. My heart is so full of JOY when I witness your creation. Praises to the ALMIGHTY GOD.

Dear Lord, Thank You for your great love for all your children.Thankyou for your perfect creation yet your word tells us that eyes have not seen ears have not heard the things you have prepared for those who love you and are called according to your grace and mercy. Please help us Lord be true and steadfast every day in our walk with you. HELP us all and strengthen us by the power of your Holy Spirit, then sinners will be converted to you, the lost found and, the discouraged find hope, the sick healed, oh righteous Father, the list goes on and on. How we need you!!

I love this prayer/poem! It makes me want to write my own.
Heavenly Father your creation is good, it is very good. You spoke and all things obeyed you! You commanded your creation to multiply and be fruitful, they did! You commanded us to subdue the earth and all within., To be good stewards over what you created, as it is in heaven.
Lord, Your law is perfect, Your testimony is sure; Your precepts are right; Your Commandments pure.
Help us to understand and live in the fear of the Lord because it is clean and endures forever.
Your rules are true and righteous they warn us and in keeping them is great reward. Declare us innocent from hidden faults, keep us from presumptuous sins, let them not have dominion over us.??
Father, let us be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Because death and life are in the tongue.
Be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.
Create in us a pure heart and a contrite spirit. A forgiving heart filled with grace and mercy as you have shown us. Let us speak Your truth in love to those around us. After spending a couple of days at Palo Duro Canyon, it was wonderful to see just a touch of God’s beautiful creation and be reminded of how mighty and majestic He is and how much He cares for us!
