Happy New Year!

I don't know about you, but the turning of a page on the calendar always brings with it a sense of anticipation and excitement. It's a reminder that we can experience a fresh start and a new beginning.

As I write of new beginnings, this is what this note from me is all about! Today is the first of a monthly "From the Desk of Pastor Jarrett" that you will begin receiving. My goal is to share some of what God is teaching me in the moment, celebrate how the Lord is moving in our church, and help keep you informed of all that is going on at Champion Forest.

We have so many opportunities at the beginning of this month to make sure you start this new year off right and focused! I want to invite you to our First Saturday Prayer gathering that meets in the Chapel at our Champions Campus this Saturday from 8:00-9:00. Also, this weekend, we are beginning a new series called, RESET: The New Year's Six Must-Answer Questions. Invite someone to join us!

I want to encourage you to get involved in our Bible reading program that is kicking off this week. It's never too late to begin healthy, spiritual habits, and that's what this 21-Day Bible Reading Plan is designed to accomplish. We'll be reading through the gospel of John together, and our staff and several church members have written a devotional to go along with the daily readings. Commit now to wake up early, read your Bible with a pen in hand, and journal what the Lord is teaching you.

Only God knows what awaits you in 2025! I'm praying that it will be a year of significant spiritual growth for you, and our church. Recently, I was reflecting on this verse, and asked the Lord that it would describe my personal relationship with him:

Psalm 105:4 – "Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his presence continually."
